Song of the Day
Mats (Klocklös i Tiden) och Jonas (Blind Höna) har startat en ny nättjänst - Song of the Day. Det är en lista över sånger som på något sätt anknyter till ett specifikt datum, dvs. sånger där ett exakt datum nämns i texten.
Eftersom det här låter som en mycket nyttig tjänst övergav jag genast alla andra uppgifter och började fundera på sånger, men uppgiften är överraskande svår. Den första jag kom på var Queens Great King Rat (1973), där mitt eget födelsedatum nämns i texten:
"Great King Rat died today / Born on the twenty first of May / Died syphilis forty four on his birthday / Every second word he swore / Yes he was the son of a whore / Always wanted by the law"
Bruce Springsteens "4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)" var inte heller helt omöjlig att komma på men sedan blev det svårt. Jag vet att det finns flera datumsånger, även bland mina skivor, men jag vet inte hur jag ska komma på dom. Orkar inte heller höra igenom hela min cd-samling. Den som kommer på lämpliga låtar ska absolut klicka sig till Song of the Day och fylla i formuläret.
PS. Ifall också någon annan undrat - Klocklös i Tiden finns fortfarande, men adressen är ny: http://stefa.se/matsa/blogg/. Därför har den varit svår att hitta.
